WDCS North Ltd – A new approach to workforce development initiatives in Northern BC .
After 26 years of providing services to injured and disabled workers in Prince George, WDCS North – formerly Employment Action is pleased to announce our new and expanded service delivery model. Drawing on our extensive experience, capacity and Northern perspective, WDCS North is committed to supporting job seekers, employers and communities in order to develop a strong and versatile workforce that is positioned to participate fully in local and regional labour markets; especially during periods of flux and transition.

Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from St. Francis Xavier University and has been working in management and leadership positions for fifteen years. Lori brings her expertise in program development and implementation to this position as well as her years of working with marginalized individuals in the areas of career development and employability. Lori brings an inclusive management style to the team at WFDC North Ltd and her knowledge around strategic growth and planning will be instrumental in moving the organization forward in the years to come.
Lori is a certified Personality Dimensions trainer, certified in the Strong Interest Inventory and certified to deliver the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Lori is trained and highly regarded group facilitator and is regularly sought after to develop and present workshops and team building initiatives. Lori conducts training and consultations for both private and public sector agencies and works with community-based organizations to further their growth and development.
VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES MANAGER
Stuart has graduated from the University of Victoria with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He is currently a Registered Rehabilitation Professional with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRAC) and is a board member of the VRAC-BC society. Stuart has 24 years experience working with people with cognitive disabilities and mental health concerns. He currently provides vocational services to employment service centers throughout Northern BC including Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek. Stuart also provides vocational rehabilitation services to various insurers assisting clients with injuries return to the workplace.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY MANAGER
Kyla is a Certified Career Management Professional with an Organizational Development Specialization from Yorkville University, and a Canadian Board Certified Life Skills Coach. As the Program Development and Delivery Manager for WDCS North Ltd., Kyla manages Ministry funded programming for essential skills, employability, and life skills, as well as creating customized Private Sector Programs and Projects. Kyla provides workforce development services for organizations and employers, professional development training, and workshops to frontline service professionals to enhance recruitment, engagement, and process optimization. Kyla has designed and implemented curriculum to promote community capacity building and successful outcomes for individuals facing serious life stabilization issues, as well as multiple barriers to employment and community inclusion.
FACILITATED SERVICES INSTRUCTOR
Norm is a certified Life Skills Coach and Employability Skills Specialist with an extensive industrial management background. Actively involved with community sports and coaching activities, Norm brings strong motivational abilities and experience based insight to his work serving clients who face multiple barriers to employment.
CLIENT SERVICES CONSULTANT
With over 15 years in the administration/accounting fields, Laura joined the team in 2010. She has had the opportunity to work in several different roles, including Reception, the Health and Safety Committee, and assisting with marketing, advertising and IT support. Her current role of Program Assistant allows her to work within several programs, including Job Options, TIOW, IES, as well as assisting with Administration and Accounting.
Laura is an active member of the arts community in Prince George. She has taught dance with Judy Russell’s Dance Centre for 17 years and is involved in various theatre productions.
